Well said. For me, "how to administer a website on a Debian server" is a must if you work in Web Dev because hosting a web app should not require you to depend on anyone else.

Yea agreed. Its dangerous. Lot of people have dynamic IPs at their home. Once you have setup ssh keys and disabled root login, you should be good to go.

It is better to have 1 than not. I highly recommend you set it up now. Put a real picture. Too much noise these days and without a Linkedin Profile, lot of employers are not even going to look at you. Just stating facts.
