My bank supports both SMS and push notification for 2FA. Also PIN code in an app is probably local and doesn't protect from a kernel exploit. I hope you do not keep too much money in the bank.

They suck blood like mosquitoes, they intentionally search for humans, fly around and wait for a convenient moment. Maybe we are talking about different kind of flies. So we cover windows with an insect screen (net) in summer.

Isn't it the problem with software architecture choices like large monolitic kernels, lots of unnecessary telemetry/marketing services, legacy APIs, unsafe languages like C, lack of static analysis, etc? You should threat a phone

You can run the model in a sandbox or VM. Although, it could plant a backdoor into the written code. Too bad, I read and fix all the code written by AI.

First, LLM is merely a tool and its output belong to whoever generated them. If a Chinese researcher used their creativity to generate a response, the copyright belongs to them and AI companies have no rights to it. Second, Chinese release

Exactly. If a rich corporation downloads and uses pirated content without paying, why should ordinary person pay for movies and music instead of downloading them for free?

192 kHz vs 48 kHz can make a difference if you slow down the audio. If you pitch shift down 2 octaves, the ultrasonic range 20-80 kHz turns into 5-20 kHz and there will be large difference between 192 kHz and 48 kHz sources. However, I do n

I have an external audio card, if I put it on a laptop I can hear the modem-like sounds. I wonder why it is so sensitive, should not DAC produce strong signal that cannot be easily affected by radio waves? Also my headphones are extremely s

I could do it all in a web browser on a laptop at home as well. Without annoying ads in notifications and without a risk to lose money if the phone gets backdoored.

I usually pay with cash. As a nice bonus, cash works even if there are mobile Internet shutdowns or blackouts and they cannot block the cash in your wallet unlike a bank account.

Interesting, I never saw a bank check. The companies typically transfer money directly into the account, and there are P2P transfers by a phone number working between any major banks. So I guess.. I do not need this feature.

In my country, partially due to sanctions, you can access the bank via browser and receive 2FA codes on $15 dumb phone. Also why do you need bank app on your phone? Do you like to give money to random strangers on the street? Only scammers

F-Droid apps do not need Google Play Services. OSMand (offline maps) and other apps works without it. Telegram probably should work too, but I did not test. AI also says that it is possible to have push notifications without Google.
