I did this in 2001 on a 200MHz Pentium with 128MB RAM. Took about eight hours. Great experience. I understand it still takes about eight hours. Faster CPUs but busier software cancelled each other out. Some things never change.

I do tell that to airport check-in staff :-) I just take both laptops out. I only do carry-ons and no checked bags and am able to stuff everything needed into one mid-sized tac pack.
