Living in Italy at the time, I recall early Olivetti portable computers back in the ‘80’s. They were out of reach for a teenager though, so had to stick to my BBC Micro. Olivetti was the reference when it came to well-designed machines.

UI’s also reduce human comprehension times. Give me a well-crafted UI and I can quickly scan it and comprehend the logic. Reading a long blob of text is less efficient and probably more error-prone. I like this approach.

Agree. Just like writing with pen and paper facilitates the thought process, so does coding. Typing out code facilitates logical thought and forces you to mind the details. Not to mention the inherent learning process. Hand-holding an LLM c

Isn’t this the ultimate black box? If a forecasting system is a black box, then you have no chance of understanding why its performance might deteriorate. Once that happens it essentially becomes a digital paper-weight.
