The story here is that grafana took a well known js implementation in go and forked it. They did make it better, the README seems to lead me to believe they implemented the regex js normally supports.

I have been deploying Yugabyte via helm for my local development recently in kind. It's like a distributed version of postgres 12 or so. It takes a lot of guess work out of sharding and replication that you would need to do with normal

Some of the raft failure modes for CockroachDB suck to recover from. In testing I've had better results with Yugabyte. If licensing is such a big deal though, CockroachDB loses over Dgraph and Yugabyte. I doubt anyone will really do an
