A lot of discussions around AI replacing devs but AI can really replace management. It won't happen by itself due to conflict of interests.

So still no good reason to go back to the office from what those managers said. Only inept statements like "we are better together" and so on.

Well, they need to fix the back button. When you press back, the original feed is shown and then it promptly updates. Twitter never caught in a lot of places while threads might have a chance.

They took the factory schedule 8h/day and they applied it to office work which is bs. Office work should be 4h/day. They did the same when people switched from agriculture to factory work. People were working in factories as if th

I agree with you. I don't agree with the tone of the parent commenter that implied that people who try to solve the problems of drugs use, somehow try to impose on others what to do with their body.

When you do drugs with your own body, do you also drive and create accidents, forcing other on what to do with their bodies (go to hospital, cemetery)? Right now in my country this is the situation with the rise of drugs use.

The algorithm is forcing them. Stop beeing so naive. Even if you don't like or follow any of the controversial stuff, that stuff is constantly recommended "for you" by the algorithm.

That's not what I was referring to. F.e. management brought on the project some senior dev. He did a minor framework update, reeplace one library with another even if nobody was complaining about anything and he was gone. None of the p

The industry has expanded due to high demand, but the procentage of smart people in the population did not. So you have all kinds of people that should really not write any code, write code. Also managers decided to give all decision making

They are the best in management eyes: look, they are doing so many things. All those things are unnecessary and will need to be supported/removed in the future. The truly best are the ones that do very little indeed. We produce softwar

You got more, maybe the company got more, the senior got less: two jobs, only one pay. Now with remote work, companies really have to carve out budget and time to train people. They don't like that.

Let's not forget about the feed algoritms that will prioritize anger and only anger because this is what drives impressions.

Agile is broken? Or the fact that we put the smartest people in positions in which they have no say, and anybody else we give them all the power (scrum masters, product owners...).

Working out and not feeling good after, might be a sign that the body is already at it's limit and the workout is consuming even the last bit of energy. For me it was stress, bad diet, bad sleep and undiagnosed gut problem.

Even if it would work, what trickes down are the whims of the rich: I want a yacht, I want a leather bag, I want diamonds on my car and so on. So a lot of people will have unfulfilling jobs. They are esentially slaves (again). This is in co

Current day (definitely not modern) management is toxic. The actual productive devs are seen as a threat and so on. These things have a much bigger impact on yourself than if you take enough breaks or not.
