- acheron 11y agoThere's an opt-in option in Ghostery that reports usage info, but as far as I know it doesn't "phone home" if you don't opt in to that.
- StavrosK 11y agoYeah, seconded, AFAIK it doesn't phone home if you disable that.
- colinbartlett 11y agoPrivacy-advocating browser extension stops violating your privacy if you ask it to.

- benedikt 11y agoWhat about Disconnect or Lightbeam? (as alternatives to Ghostery)
- Dirlewanger 11y agoUse Disconnect. More or less the same as Ghostery, minus the tracking you part. The fact that Ghostery tracks whether or not one sends data back to them shows that they have to be keeping some sort of tracking id for your machine.
- quadrangle 11y agouBlock has advanced features that function like request policy (effectively can replace it, though RP is still a good plugin)
