JavaScript's domain is mostly client side web browser scripting, and no language is close to throwing it off its throne. So no, JavaScript will always have its place.
- Lio 11y agoASM.js though makes languages with manual memory management relevant to web front-end work. Hopefully, Swift might be a good candidate for fast browser code.
