- fideloper 11y agoNot a great comment, but absolutely spot on. Cultural differences in attitude toward punctuality is well documented in how varied it is. Here, let me google that for you. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=cultural%20differences%20in%20punctuality https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&e...
- elros 11y agoExactly! > Why do people, invited for a dinner party at 7.30, think > its cool to arrive at 8.30? It’s rude. It’s inconsiderate. If I invite you to a dinner party in Brazil at 7.30, I'm expecting you around 9. If you show up at the actual time, which has happened to me when I moved to Germany – and didn't realized the expectations were different – the food won't be ready. As a matter of fact, I won't even have started cooking! :-) I now tell my German friends X and my Brazilian friends (X - 2) hours.
