- dijit 11y agoDon't mean to be rude or anything but as a common trend I'd like to try to discourage active use of "DevOps" as a job title. http://www.bitlancer.com/2015/03/3-reasons-never-put-devops-job-title/ http://www.bitlancer.com/2015/03/3-reasons-never-put-devops-... since everyone has a different opinion on what a "DevOps" actually is, it's much too ambiguous a term for a job title. Do you mean a developer with operations experience? (common case), or a Infrastructure engineer who can orchestrate/automate and follows an agile methodology?

- orls 11y agoFair enough (although, we're far from the only ones using it as a shorthand, and fuller job specs are available in the link). It's more the latter. Some examples of the tech we're playing with in that area: Chef, Jenkins, Mesos, Docker.
