Whenever I hear about Microsoft, I just think irrelevant. Am I bad? Sometimes I think I might have missed out on something, but in 30+ years of programming I've never done any real development on it (unless you count java), and I often go months without encountering it (except for remote desktop occasionally). I think it was good to have competition Apple/Linux/Google, but it doesn't seem like they've kept up.
