Anita Sarkeesian, Feminist Frequency – XOXO Festival (2014)
- ripb 12y agoSeriously, what is this trash doing on HN? From the guidelines: On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity. Please, you have Reddit and Tumblr for this crap, please just stay there.
- drincognito 12y agoI don't understand your attitude. Maybe you could explain how you believe this doesn't fit within the guidelines?

- psgbg 12y agoI think it's relevant and interesting.
- psgbg 12y agoI think that this is truly interesting and it's relevant since the world of gaming, computation and informatics are man driven and we need equality. She makes a great exposition showing some of the problems that she, as a woman, has to deal to express her point of view. The most significant part I guess it's the end when she says it's necessary believe when a woman says what she thinks/feels/suffers. And it's true that people try to stigmatize the "gamer girl", the "geek girl" accusing of faking it. And when a woman is treated badly is accused again of faking. The victim being victimized. For the other part, I don't share the vision in general of the Anita about gaming, though a change would be good, but I don't know.
