Certain parts of software engineering research are moving in this direction, psychology as a the primary toolbox for research. Not sure how I feel about that. As far as science goes, Psychology isn't exactly the epitome of rigor. On the other hand, the problem really boils down to asking hard-to-investigate-scientifically questions, mostly about humans.
