Dell has also been caught doing this with monitors.
- aet 12y agoWere they good to start with?
- Argorak 12y agoDell makes very good flat-screens for an affordable price, e.g. the U2311H was a really nice one.
- justathrow2k 12y agoDid you not read the article in this post? Or are you just being daft and trying to say something snide about Dell? The article itself is about switching out quality components for cheaper ones after your first batch gets good reviews. So yes, if Dell is doing the same thing, it follows that yes, they were at one point good, and then they started swapping out for cheaper components.

- justathrow2k 12y agoRight, so the latter, he was just being daft and trying to say something snide about Dell.
- skj 12y agoIt's called the internet. Dell's feelings weren't hurt.
- Encosia 12y agoWith a few exceptions (which may be what poolpool is referring to), Dell's UltraSharp lines have been one of the better sources of consistently good consumer IPS displays for 10+ years.
- wtallis 12y agoAnd even the models that have used PVA panels have been much better than TN-based monitors, with their biggest weakness generally being input lag.
