A colourful book (1692)
- dang 12y agoThis is delightful. We changed the url from http://gizmodo.com/who-painted-this-300-year-old-guidebook-to-every-imagin-1572088939 http://gizmodo.com/who-painted-this-300-year-old-guidebook-t.... Submitters: please read what you post and, if there's a more original source, post that instead. HN prefers original sources. Remarkably, the book itself is viewable at http://www.e-corpus.org/notices/102464/gallery/ http://www.e-corpus.org/notices/102464/gallery/. Since the blog post is necessary to understand what this is, we won't replace the url any further.
- nathancahill 12y ago"Colorful" pages start at page 85 of the book.
- millioncents 12y agoAs cool as Pantone books are, this is definitely quite amazing!
- pbhjpbhj 12y agoIt would be great if this could be formalised somehow. Like giving "via" and "source document" footnotes to the story [or perhaps an automated top comment that is visually distinguished as editorial] - if you'd not added this note I'd have missed out as I don't have access to tumblr. But it's more that such metadata gives the reader much more control of how they digest the information. Gizmodo and Colossal both give "via" info.
