I find it quite ironic that the 'machine' has failed dismally to reproduce this text correctly, by making the usual pigs ear of character encodings and rendering Ælfrid as �lfrid in my browser, the latter being corrupted beyond trivial machine recovery. We (or at least speakers of languages that don't fit into ASCII) are doomed.
