Hmm well I do use it when I'm around the appartment and stuff or I use my iMac. But as the 15" can't connect to the iMac because it's not compatible I was wanting something portable that I can take around with me, train, travel etc. I'm a contractor so odds are there will be displays I can plug into where I go.
