    I would call that borderline, the original phrase was still clear and wasn't hard to read. Also, as verbal empire English, it's fine. Living in china, I'm asked to correct a lot of grammars.

      The number is singular. There are many errors. There is an alarming number of them. There is too much debate. But not enough tipos.
