Ask HN: Has anyone done YC Startups selection / rejection profile analysis?
If I can get some data, I would like to do the analysis on pin pointing parameters that helps you get in YC and what are surely a NO-NO. And my hypothesis is that 80% of decisions are based on objective parameters.
- garromark 13y agoThis will be most interesting if it's not about "what to do or not to do", which is what most of the online content about the process emphasizes, and is more about "this is when you should/shoudln't apply in the first place".
- aakashbarot 13y agoYes, you are spot on! This is when you should/shouldn't or who should apply or shouldn't etc.
- rmena123 13y agoEducation, race, age, startup stage, past employment, geography. I'm sure it be interesting and maybe disappointing.
- wellboy 13y agoMattermark will probably do that soon, should be interesting.
- aakashbarot 13y agoYes! Type of product, Industry, team composition, Skills, team background etc. etc. It can't be disappointing, I am sure it would be interesting. We will need data of all the applications V/S the selected ones.
