Having been on Reddit for more than 6 years, what always blows me away are these "lessons". Sure, everyone backpedals a bit and thinks, "gee, he's not the douchebag hipster we thought and we acted like assholes" but it happens over, and over and over. As others have also mentioned in here, I'm always amazed that those most prone to being bullied seem more than okay taking on the role of bully online with zero context.
