Bought my wife a silver ring with a golden knot of eternity in the place a diamond would be as her engagement ring. It was made by a local artist and one of a kind. It was affordable and she loved getting something unique. I recently made her a silver ring by hand at a workshop and she calls it her "second wedding ring" and wears it constantly. Most women prefer something unique, or hand made since it shows more care then spending a lot of money.
