The majority of comments from the illustrious Hacker News crowd seem to indicate we are disturbingly at ease with the Persecution of homeschoolers. I feel as long as students are making the grade on standardized tests, there shouldn't be an issue. This works out perfect for both parties. Whatever aspect of public schools the parent takes exception to can be avoided and the kid still get's an eduction. By forcing parents to send their children to public schools you are in effect giving the perception of indoctrination.
