  People say that like it's a kind of medal of honour. No, if your self is impolite, jerk, greedy, racist, etc, and a thousand other things, it's not OK to "be yourself". That's what societal standards of conduct were for, back in the day.

    My point was that my writing style was not out of line. Being snarky and critical is perfectly okay. You are free to disagree and reminisce about the old days though.
