I run the risk of proving your point but oh well.
"But we don't behave that way" – who is "we"?
There's only so long you can dismiss these people as mere "intruders" and declare that No True HNer would behave that way.
This is not a cocktail party. There is no guest list. In sufficient numbers, the "intruders" become the community.
- Gallefray 13y agoHmm, that might be why slashdot ended up this way. I have only been on /. for a while, but I don't think it's stupid to assume that the arguments on there didn't use to be as rife as they are now, or as strong.
