I definitely would. I've been searching for a way to write plaintext notes and have them available "in the cloud", or at least through a web interface. Evernote's appeal is how easy it is to manage multimedia content in notes. I haven't come across an elegant solution to that in plain-text. The closest I've come is using Markdown in VimWiki, and then exporting my notes as HTML.
