I really wonder what 'average' means in this context since the average venture backed startup is a total failure. I imagine there's also a huge disparity between the salaries of executives at companies across the seed->A round->B round->...->IPO spectrum as well.

Yes, I am talking about growth stage, so these are companies with at least 3 rounds of financing that have in most cases raised $10+mm

Just because the startup is a total failure doesn't mean you can't get paid handsomely for it. Just ask.
