- streetfighter64 4d agoIt's a very stupid thing to say though, it's like Trump's promise to reduce drug prices by 1000%. I guess that was also just a figure of speech.
- delecti 4d agoIt's not nearly that stupid. If their investments are, on-average, bringing sizable returns, it's a perfectly cromulent figure of speech.
- tavavex 4d ago+20% is a sizeable return, but I don't think anyone would look at me right if I made such an investment and then said "I earned $100 for every $1 invested". This is a mathematical statement with concrete numbers, you can't use it as a figure of speech.
