Why would you ever ever ever on record "take full responsibility" for something you did not actually do?
If a person does that, then that's dumb. But a company? Don't you have like a legal department or similar telling you to not ever confess to something you did in fact not do?
- dangero 5d agoI doubt there were any damages — they were already refusing to pay us any payments we were owed.
- hypfer 5d agoI would expect that there could be some reputational damage coming from a written confession to fraud. "This company is known for this kind of fraud" even though it isn't. But the paper says it is.
