- ctenb 5d agoThanks for sharing. I'm going to give it a spin for a while. The downside is you cannot comment or vote on the external site so you are always juggling the two sites for that.
- postalcoder 5d agoI have a browser extension that allows you to comment and vote as if it's HN. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hckernews-helper/gmjagaoeamlgphlhaejhhgpliecjolbb https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hckernews-helper/gm... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hcker-news/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hcker-news/ https://hcker.news/notes/browser-extension https://hcker.news/notes/browser-extension (Safari ext coming soon) The extension itself follows the principle of least privilege. It doesn't even have access to the HN site cookie.
- anthonyrstevens 5d agoIf the AI haters would avoid AI articles and stop adding useless, unrelated "slop!" and "just text prediction!" comments, HN would be a much better place IMHO.
- cromka 5d ago> This is a solved problem. It is not. If people here barely see any non-AI content, then that non-AI content doesn't get interacted with, have interesting comments, etc. Filtering for yourself does not have the same effect as surfacing more non-AI content to everyone.
