Probably not there's a lot of nearby fire the would reignite extinguished sections because the device doesn't do anything to cool the fuel or suppress fire returning. Also it's short range and very sensitive to the range you use it at. This technique has been known about since at least 2012 when DARPA did a demonstration of it. There's a reason it hasn't really gone anywhere and mostly exists as science fair demos and Youtube videos now, it's quite limited.
