The issue is discovery and perverse incentives. Search algorithms have needed a major overhaul for a while, and previously the existence of a thing was a proxy for effort, which some people use as a proxy for value (dizzying, I know). Now people have to evaluate the value of things directly, which seems to be causing a lot of anxiety, so they're defaulting to assigning a value of 0 to AI assisted works so they can continue using their old heuristics.
- zcw100 3d agoAbsolutely this. The same thing is, and will continue, to take happen in the work place. This is the real threat of AI. Not that it's going to take your job, that it's going to redefine what is used to measure your value.
