Search algorithms have needed a major overhaul for a while, and previously the existence of a thing was a proxy for effort, which some people use as a proxy for value (dizzying, I know). Now people have to evaluate the value of things directly, which seems to be causing a lot of anxiety, so they're defaulting to assigning a value of 0 to AI assisted works so they can continue using their old heuristics.
