Your Toothbrush Is a Computer. Are You Securing It Like One?
- JohnFen 7d agoThe first thing to consider when it comes to security is to minimize the attack surface. In light of that, I'd never have a computerized toothbrush to begin with. Adding a connected computer to anything automatically introduces security problems, so it's unwise to do it unless there's a very, very strong reason to. And there is no strong reason to do it with things like this. Computerizing/networking things doesn't automatically make those things better. It can often make them worse.
