Words cannot hurt you.
- snapcaster 9d agoyes they can what the hell are you talking about? i would wager "being hurt by words" is something close to a universal human experience
- hattmall 8d agoWhat the hell are YOU talking about? Of course words can't actually hurt you. Being bothered <> hurt. You can hurt yourself perhaps in response to words but words can't do it, you have to apply the meaning and the hurt internally, as opposed to say rockets, which can hurt you without any involvement on your part at all.

- matt727 8d agoI'm not hurt by words like that. I was thinking in general terms of moderation, slurs is one, but simple automated spam would be another thing, I imagine it isn't protected against. I just thought it was funny to see my initial concern verified so quickly.
- NBJack 8d agoChaplinsky v. New Hampshire Virginia v. Black Gertz v. Robert Welch, Inc. While it may not apply to you personally, the U.S. Supreme Court largely disagrees with that sentiment.
