I have to laugh at this, because on here I see a lot of people talking about family and meaningful relationships. As the father of two young, insanely challenging boys, a lot of the stuff on this list is non-existent and hasn't existed since the birth of the first 7 years ago.
Time - Nope
Health - Nope, stress, no time, bad eating, no sleep
A quiet mind - Nope
Slow mornings - Nope
Ability to travel - Nope
Rest without guilt - Nope
A good night’s sleep - Nope
Calm and “boring” days - Nope
Meaningful conversations - Nope
Home-cooked meals - Sort of, but not as much care as previously (see lack of time)
People you love - Yes, but challgening
People who love you back - Yes
- CrimsonRain 10d agoI'm in similar boat as you but for me, a lot of these are yes. Some went "Nope" for a short while but slowly getting back to yes. That's why they are real luxuries...
- munksbeer 10d agoHow?! Are you children a lot older now?
- CrimsonRain 10d agoNot really. It is just a combination of great parenting team, money, and a happy healthy baby. While I'm sure a lot of that is luck (about baby), I am sure mother/baby eating obsessively healthy stuff is a big part of it. People give formula, cake candy choco, suger food, carb etc to babies...and they wonder why they act crazy.
- munksbeer 10d agoYeah, we don't do any of that stuff. I guess it's just luck. Well done.
