(Not OP, but I also initially interpreted your comment as suggesting a universal truth. I think this sense came from these parts, which read to me as statements of absolute fact (derived, presumably, from the personal experiences you described):

> I mention all this to help others realize that they need to... solve their stressors
(Especially the third one, through the words "realize" and "need.")
