This generalizes to the industry, not just Origin.
Corporate game dev uniquely seems to attract incompetent middle and upper management with extreme egos.
I guess because the people who scramble to the top of the pile in an industry with an endless incoming supply of naive new workers tend to be those who spend most of their time networking and sharpening their knives.
