Ask HN: Where does IG ads get my email from?
I’m shown ads at times that have my email prefilled.
It’s not the email I have associated with my ig account, which is a bit more terrifying.
On iOS I have safari autofill disabled, if that matters.
It’s possible I used this email at some point on IG, but I can’t understand why it would pick that one for ads.
- pavel_lishin 16d agoI've filled out one ad with an email (a one-off), and it's remembered that email and has been prefilling it every time. (I assume you mean the weird thing where it does a poll, and then pulls up a contact form.)
