I have been having the opposite problem with my papers lately. Instead of glossing over mistakes, the reviewer report missing information which is clearly stated in the text. This is quite frustrating and hard to stay polite after the fifth "please just read the text." I really wish there was some serious rework of the publishing system. Nobody is happy about it but nothing seems to be moving.
