Interesting post sharing the author's experiences. Personally I've experienced deeper bliss from meditation than from any sense pleasure, but it is not always reliably accessible in every sit.
- arihantparsoya 18d agoWhen the meditation is deep, during retreats for example, the rapture and bliss in meditation can feel intense than regular meditation at times, because the mind is more sensitive. But when the mind indulges in worldly sense pleasure, the sensitivity to experience subtle things reduces, and the bliss in meditation becomes hard to experience.
- N_Lens 18d agoPerhaps I’m close to the end of my lifecyles. Meditative bliss feels more intense than sense pleasures for me, sense pleasures feel dull in comparison regardless of my sensitivity.
