I wonder, is there something stopping Framework from having this change as the default?
- cassianoleal 19d agoI'm not sure how they would do that. The laptops don't come with Linux pre-installed. I myself am running Debian.
- oldandboring 18d agoThat might have been the case at one point, but I just bought a Framework 13 Pro with Ubuntu preinstalled.
- cassianoleal 18d agoI just bought a Pro with nothing pre-installed. I got the kit though, so the SSD was on its own box, still unopened. Maybe they pre-install if you buy it assembled? In any case, you probably got stock Ubuntu. Anything different from that would mean you have no chance of reinstalling it and getting the same experience, or installing Fedora (which is also officially supported) and getting the same.
- TulliusCicero 17d agoWhy? Companies that sell Windows laptops absolutely have these figured out for various customizations they want. Those are usually shit customizations to be fair, but in this case it'd be actually useful.
- cassianoleal 16d agoYeah I agree Framework could have Easy Effects profiles available for download.
