Fuel is used quite extensively while farming - in case you haven't ever been on a farm - and with this idiotic war with Iran fuel costs have gone up massively. Tractors and farming equipment are not just domestically produced, they make heavy use of imported parts and raw materials. Now with these tariffs, imported metals and components are more expensive. You don't have to take my word for it though! I don't even know why you're trying to make this argument when you can just go look through a grocery store and see how much more expensive food is now than just a few years ago.
