2026 Nepal Floods
- dredmorbius 21d agoAs I've found for the past couple of decades, one of the best aggregate sources of information on major news events is Wikipedia. The flash floods in Nepal along the Trishuli River are only the latest such test of that heuristic. The video footage already starting to emerge is absolutely horrific. The Wikipedia article currently features a longer version of the Gyirong border crossing video, in which a wall of water utterly engulfs a five or six story very substantial concrete structure, and what appear to be hundreds of people on the ground. Climate change is real, and here, people.
