Yo, why is my blog post title editorialised? It should've said "Merchants of Insecurity". Rude!
- joelthelion 21d agoNo offense but your title is not informative at all.
- thehappyfellow 21d agoIt wasn't supposed to be, I found it amusing. Also, the current title is not what I wanted people to take away from the post.
- boesboes 21d agoProbably so people can understand what the post is about and can skip the rage-bait?
- thehappyfellow 21d agoHow is my title a rage bait? The current submission title is terrible, "Omarchy development practices lead to predictable security issues" would be much closer.

- easterncalculus 17d agoI mean your article is pretty bad. You posted two promptly patched security vulnerabilities and then essentially just wrote the same thing over and over and over again about how it's a sign of the whole project without really building up a case showing consistent negligence.

- arn3n 21d agoIt was (my) main takeaway and I wanted it to be evident in the headline. I didn’t want to bury the lede; I’ll uneditorialize it because it seems it’s causing some fighting in the comments and I don’t really want to instigate anything, more just warn people using the distro. I don’t think it’ll reach the people who need to be warned if it’s not evident that there’s an issue from the start.
- thehappyfellow 21d agoAppreciate it! Editorialised is fine but the post is mostly about the development practices leading to bugs & the lack of awareness of how dangerous that is, not about the current absolute number of security holes if that makes sense.
