If we all move to Bluesky, we break Elon's power over the microblogging ecosystem.
Sure, Bluesky isn't perfect, but at least we can try to make it so.
What are you waiting for?
- rplnt 22d agoCompanies, celebrities, media, even state agencies all post (only) on Twitter. At least the last one is a shame, but there's a good excuse about reach.
- Gareth321 22d agoBluesky's community is more toxic than X has ever been. I'd rather hang out on 4chan.
- kijashdkujdfhas 21d agoBluesky's blocking and muting tools are quite good. You don't actually have to interact with anyone that you don't want to interact with. That and a default feed that is literally "posts from people I follow, in chronological order" with no concept of the platform inserting promoted or sponsored content in the feed. The worst I might see is someone I follow re-sharing / quoting something I don't want to see, and if that happens I can unfollow that individual, I can mute that post, I can mute the user the post originally came from, or I can block any of the accounts involved.
