Climate change is now a short-term problem. In the next 10 years, numerous ecosystems will be pushed to the point of collapse, and feedback loops will increase as natural carbon sinks start to release their carbon in the face of rising temperatures and shifting weather patterns. Also it breaks down into CO2, so the problem isn't totally gone after 10 years. And we're still accelerating the amount we're releasing anyway.
