    They have those payouts for check marks? A lot of people post click bait for views to bring in small amounts of money, usually from a poorer country I think

    Verified profiles get money based on engagement rate of their posts, only from other verified profiles; I don't think I need to tell you the quality of said posts, AI slop included. They are literally getting money (not making) without producing anything and that aligns with Elon's world view of a jobless civilization driven by AI and robots.

      Are they not producing anything? I agree that I place no value on slop, but my grandparents sure do. Maybe what they're producing is net negative value at the societal level, but (unfortunately?) they're not producing nothing.
