It will always feel rude to me how in the USA the waiters leave the check at tge table a couple of minutes after they bring your food. What if I want something else later?
It feels as if he/she "finished" with your table and you are SOL if you want anything else.
- xboxnolifes 22d agoI've never had that happen and ive lived in the US my whole life. Must be a regional thing. I've never gotten a check before asking for it.
- xtracto 22d agoInteresting, Ive had it happen in Chicago, California and Indiana. At Dennis, iHOP and some other more regional restaurants.
- sudokatsu 21d agoThe places you’ve mentioned are cheaper diners (which I also enjoy) where most people don’t explore the menu and portions are plentiful. Hardly somewhere you’re getting dessert or coffee _after_ a meal.
- exolymph 22d agoHuh. I wish this was the norm in my area, so I didn't have to wait around for the check once I finish eating.
