- blondie9x 24d agoNot without steady water. Photosynthesis has 3 inputs. Sunlight energy, CO2, and water. Easy to forget the water but that is the most variable and volatile.

- blondie9x 23d agoThis study is 10 years old and in many of the most important carbon sink areas there is a decline. It's also that afforestation efforts to replenish lost forests have worked in some countries. Can you imagine the trillions of trees we would need to have sufficient carbon fixation to level out the burning of 100 million oils of barrel per day?
- ars 24d agoTrue, but the limiting factor for plant growth is sun, not CO2. And when they have full sun the limit is how fast they can absorb it. So far as I know plants are not limited by co2 absorption, so adding more doesn't really help them.
