- ButlerianJihad 25d agoIf you book a room that is part of a reserved block for a convention, it is not surprising that the organizers have discretion to kick out unregistered people in order to have room for legitimate attendees.
- shimman 25d agoBeing a journalist is a legitimate attendee. Especially since so many prominent politicians are attending this conference.
- ButlerianJihad 25d agoNo, he's actually not. If you read the poster's story you will see that Flock directly informed him, it's a customer-only event, and no media was invited. Therefore, whatever legit press credentials he had, did not make him a customer, nor entitled to be registered there. He may have registered under false pretenses. Surely he was informed, as part of the registration process, who was eligible to attend in the first place? Flock, as the event organizers, had every right to revoke his registration, because he was not qualified, and what's truly remarkable is the volume of respondents who are shocked and outraged that Flock was granted control of the hotel rooms in a block which were dedicated and promised to their conference attendees. For crying out loud.
- guax 25d agoHow did he get the registration and room in the first place then?
- shimman 24d agoCustomer only event while ex-senators, congressional representatives, and law enforcement attend it? Oh come on, stop running cover for a deeply undemocratic organization. Just because you don't like the journalist, doesn't make them not be a journalist. It's also hard to belief Flock is in the right here at all seeing how evil they act and what they sell to people.
- leephillips 25d agoThat might make sense. But in the video he (not “they”) never mentions that the room was part of a conference block. But it very well might have been.
