I did read your link but it doesn't prove your point at all. Population in specific places used to eat meat because nothing grows there, but they were an exception to the rule. It's been known that our ancestors were mostly scavengers. Hunting animals is much more dangerous that picking strawberry, back then a cut may lead to death, a broken bone was death.
